The Department of Neuroradiology, within the Division of Diagnostic Imaging, has an immediate opening for a full-time, clinical faculty appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment for the Houston Area Locations (HALS). The Department of Neuroradiology provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services to diagnose, characterize, stage, and follow-up conditions of the nervous system and the head and neck. The focus of the Neuroradiology Department is to perform clinical neuroradiology at the highest level, to engage in important and novel research, and to train the future leaders in academic neuroradiology.
The major criteria for appointment for this faculty position is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances the field of neuroradiology, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic needs the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The position will also involve teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Candidate must have a medical degree and be ABR-certified radiologist who has completed an ACGME-approved fellowship in Neuroradiology, as well as second year of neuroradiology fellowship (or equivalent expertise). Proficiency with cancer imaging.
