The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a fellowship trained neuroradiologist in consideration for a remote, lifestyle oriented neuroradiology position. This daytime teleradiology position will have a Monday-Sunday schedule 8AM-5PM CST (7 DAYS ON, 14 DAYS OFF) with manageable imaging volumes. Weekday shifts are fully specialized with 100% neuroradiology. Weekend shifts are predominately neuroradiology, although require additional general pain film interpretation. Salary is highly competitive for this model (W2 and 1099 options are available).
This position entails reading a mixture of outpatient, ER, and inpatient CT/CTA/MRI neuroradiology studies alongside our collegial in-house staff and residents as well as small amount of general plain film interpretation on the weekend. As this is strictly a clinical position, no lectures or research responsibilities are required for this role unless specifically sought out by the candidate. Minimal phone call responsibilities. We have a robust teleradiology division and currently employ 15+ remote radiologists who have been with our department long-term to supplement our 30+ on-site staff radiologists. A very collegial relationship exists with on-site radiologists including a high level of support for our teleradiology colleagues who read alongside the in-house staff.
Our department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. Enjoy an outstanding radiology lifestyle without sacrificing image quality or professional satisfaction in a progressive academic department supportive of work-life balance in radiology.
