Candidates should be American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified or eligible and must have completed diagnostic radiology resident training at an accredited diagnostic radiology residency program.
During the 12-month fellowship at Mayo Clinic, the candidate will receive advanced training in all aspects of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging in both outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as radionuclide therapy.
This program is designed to provide fellows with clinical and academic subspecialty training while they work closely with experts in nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, oncology, and other medical specialties. The division is currently staffed by 4 full-time nuclear radiologists who are certified by the ABR as well as the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM). The division is responsible for supervising and interpreting a wide variety of general nuclear imaging studies and oncological and non-oncological PET/CT and PET/MR scans. Cardiac SPECT and PET/CT studies are interpreted in close collaboration with certified nuclear cardiologists. State-of-the-art PET/MRI scanner and on-site cyclotron are available and offer abundant research opportunities. It is the expectation that the candidate will actively participate in our research, multidisciplinary conferences, and educational programs.
