Job Summary A CRT licensed Mammography Technologist performing screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures. This technologist must be able to produce ACR quality images in both diagnostic and screening exams. This technologist is able to interact with clinicians and other departments to coordinate patient care. This technologist is able to evolve with radiology information system (RIS) and PACS systems. This technologist must participate in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Additionally, this Mammography Technologist must be willing to train and interact with students and new hires when necessary.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations.
Minimum of 3 years of Mammography experience
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting.
Prefer breast ultrasound experience.
CRT Fluoroscopy License.
License/Certification
ARRT Mammography Certification
CRT Radiology License
CRT Mammography License
BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
Requires proof of mammography - specific training of at least 40 documented hours, if certified after April 27, 1999.
Requires proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar)
Requires certificates of at least 15 CEU's in the last 36-month period (rolling 36 month calendar) that must include at least 6 CEU's in each mammography modality used.
Requires proof of MQSA approved 3D Tomosynthesis training.
