The Department of Radiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a full-time body imaging radiologist for an academic position that includes a faculty appointment to the School of Medicine. This position includes a combination of abdominal/pelvic and thoracic CT, ultrasound and radiograph interpretation, possibly with some fluoroscopy. The ideal candidate would also have some experience with body MRI or PET-CT.
This faculty physician’s responsibilities include a combination of patient care and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. The Department of Radiology also offers faculty members the opportunity to participate in research and scholarly activities. Requirements:
Fellowship training in body or abdominal radiology
Board certification or eligibility by the ABR
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, or equivalent
Ability to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Mississippi
