AACC is seeking a full-time Program Director for the Radiologic Technology Program (RAD) as defined by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT). A strong radiologic technology program director candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to teach introductory and upper college-level radiologic technology (RAD) students who are part of diverse student population. Experience in radiologic technology accreditation guidelines for quality assurance, regulations, proficiency testing, is required. Additionally, radiologic technology skills, and the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment as well as excellence in oral, written and interpersonal communication skills is expected. The position includes extensive collaboration with local affiliated clinical sites to find placements for the RAD students as well as coordinating the clinical experience for the students. The position will require in state travel to affiliate clinical sites. Candidates should be committed to student-centered, outcomes-based education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning. RAD courses to be instructed include lecture (including online), lab, and activity classes in the RAD program. The Program Director is expected to participate on committees in the department, school of health sciences, and the college. • A minimum of a master’s degree, or meets the JRCERT eligibility requirements for Program Director;
• Proficient at overseeing the daily program operations including budget planning, accreditation compliance and the assessment processes,
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program with proficiency in didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction;
• Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising;
• Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in the field of Radiologic Technology
• Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiography.
• Current Maryland radiographer license or demonstrated eligibility.
