The Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School is searching for a new Division Chief of Breast Imaging.
Located in the thriving Boston metropolis, the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a member of Mass General Brigham Integrated Healthcare system, comprised of 2 renowned academic medical centers and 10 specialty and community hospitals. It has connections to biotech and the broad scientific community within Harvard Medical School and MIT, providing ample opportunities for innovative research and teaching. The department has a robust education and research portfolio including 42 residents and 65 subspecialty fellows. In addition, the department offers 20% protected research/education time (one day per week).
The Division Chief will oversee a large division with eighteen faculty members, providing comprehensive breast imaging services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, and several outpatient imaging centers in Southeastern Massachusetts. Brigham Radiology and its network sites have state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including tomosynthesis, upright stereotactic biopsy and breast MRI. The division has excellent research opportunities, outstanding faculty, and is surrounded by world-class programs in Breast Oncology, Breast Surgery, and related basic sciences, as well as robust opportunities in leadership and administrative development in the Harvard system. Responsibilities include oversight and supervision of the educational programs in breast radiology at Brigham and Women’s and affiliated sites, including teaching of medical students, and training radiology residents and breast-imaging fellows. Candidates should have a record of clinical and academic achievement, as well as managerial experience and interest. Academic rank is anticipated to be at Associate Professor level.
