The Cardiothoracic and Body Divisions in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller University of Miami (UM) School of Medicine (UMSOM), invite applications for a full-time faculty community radiologist at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor on the Clinical Educator track. Our Health System is the largest academic center in South Florida, with a rapidly expanding footprint, and competitive salaries for academia. The applicant would join 11 Body and 5 Cardiothoracic radiologists across multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial (a primary, and tertiary care County hospital) and UM Hospitals and Clinics, but their primary sites of coverage would be in our northern Miami-Dade County and Broward County sites.
The ideal candidate for this position has completed a fellowship in Body or CardiothoracicImaging and would preferably be able to interpret within both subspecialty areas of expertise. Their responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound examinations, as well as some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures. Faculty also participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conferences. There are also opportunities to serve on Departmental and School wide committees. A full home PACS unit is provided to all faculty, call can be done remotely from home.
