Greater Chicago, IL - Loyola Medicine and the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) seek an accomplished and collaborative academic leader with an extensive record of clinical, teaching, scholarly and administrative accomplishments to serve as the next Chair of the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging (Radiology). This is an excellent opportunity to lead a widely recognized radiology program and expand clinical service and innovation across a rapidly growing health care system.
The Department of Radiology is comprised of 50 faculty providing integrated radiology services across Loyola Medicine and places a keen emphasis on delivering high quality, accessible, patient-centered care in an evolving health system environment. The Department maintains a strong clinical foundation based on its continued excellence in evidence based care delivery and education. A comprehensive residency program is the basis of educational activity within the Department, along with three fellowship training programs.
As the leader in delivery of radiology services across the system, the Chair will be strategically and operationally focused guiding the Department through the advancement of research, education and clinical programs while expanding services throughout the region. The Chair will promote transparency and emphasize continued excellence in care delivery, in conjunction with expanding research and academic efforts throughout the Department.
The successful candidate will an outstanding academic radiologist and demonstrated servant leader with the ability to effectively inspire, manage and mentor faculty, staff, and learners. The next Chair will have a thorough understanding of complex multi-facility academic health systems and have previous success in leading accomplished radiology divisions or departments.
Candidates must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree and be certified by the American Board of Radiology. They must also warrant qualification for appointment at a minimum to the rank of Associate Professor within the SSOM.
