The Department of Radiology at Stanford University Medical Center is accepting applications to the Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI) fellowship position(s) from July 2024 to June 2025. Two training programs are offered to meet different objectives of the trainee. The first program is a cardiovascular imaging fellowship designed to provide comprehensive and in-depth clinical training for radiologists who wish to learn cardiovascular CT and MRI and their applications in a broad range of studies in adult and pediatric patients, and to participate in research activities supervised by renowned research faculty in the department. The second program is a combined CVI and Thoracic imaging fellowship. Trainees will receive intensive training in each discipline for six months. The thoracic component will expose the trainee to a high-volume CT practice rich in oncology and interstitial lung disease imaging studies. Upon completion of either program, the trainee will qualify for advanced practitioner (level 3) certifications, for cardiac CT by the Society of Cardiovascular CT and for cardiac MRI by the Society for Cardiovascular MR. Candidates for either program must be board certified or board eligible in radiology and qualify for medical licensure in California.
