UMass Memorial Medical Center, in Worcester, MA is seekinganABR certified/ eligibleRadiologistto join an existing group ofelevenEmergencyRadiologists.UMass Memorial covers well over one million lives and is a Level 1 Trauma Center with 95,000 ED visits/year.Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology is desired, but not required.
Flexible work schedules include the option for the following:
11 pm to 7 am on-site at the University Campus ED with a schedule of one week on and two weeks off
Various shifts between 7 am and midnight, 75% of which can be performed from home (25% performed on-site at the University Campus ED) with a schedule of one week on and one week off.
Training in interpreting the following modalities is required:
Abdominal/pelvic/small parts ultrasound
Neuro MRI(related to stroke,trauma)
Basic nuclear medicine
When on site,ED Radiologists work at the University campus withoneresidentand/orone Emergency Radiology fellow,andremotely cover the Memorial Campus, as well asseveralcommunity hospitalsfromwithinour network.Additional opportunities for internal moonlighting within the department are available if desired.
As the clinical partner of the University of MassachusettsChanMedical School, Radiology facultyhave academic appointments at UMassChanMedical School, with ample opportunity for clinical and/or basic science research. The Radiology departmentenjoysclose clinical and academic collaborationswith Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgeryand numerous other departments.
The UMass Radiology Department has state-of-the art imagingequipment,AGFAPACS system, EPIC EMR, Tera-Recon image processing software,Powerscribe360and is running several AI algorithms from AIDOC. The departmentis comprised of approximately75fellowship trained Radiologist organized into specialized divisions, trains 20 residents (5 per year) and 9 fellows. The department also includes approximately 15 PhDsand is supported by more than $6M/year in researchfunding.
