The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position, in the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at the University of Colorado Hospital under the supervision of the Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology Procedures. We are open to applicants at the Instructor or Senior Instructor academic ranks. We are a high-volume section of 8 full-time faculty and 2 fellows performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures including image-guided spine augmentation and radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, joint and spine injections, and biopsies.
Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities. The individual will be trained by the MSK Radiology physicians in image guided minor procedures including joint injections and aspirations, biopsies, and spine injections. The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, inpatient rounding, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of MSK Radiology patients. Evenings and weekends are not required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications (applies to all ranks):
Master’s Degree in NP or meets the qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program and a current Colorado State Physician Assistant License by the time of hire. Prescriptive authority is required.
Candidates with experience in interventional radiology or spine surgery are preferred. Must have ability to work independently, be flexible in daily tasks, and work well with a team.
