Under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging, the Manager of Nuclear Medicine/CT, or the Medical Director of Medical Imaging, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations according to established department policies and procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will review patient’s medical history for possible contraindications. The Nuclear Medicine Technologists will be responsible for performing hotlab quality control, and quality control on nuclear medicine equipment at the established department intervals. This position will promote the intentions of the organization by practicing and fostering positive relations with patients, physicians’ offices, other departments, and co-workers. Position does include rotating Sunday morning call.
Education: Required - Complete an Accredited College Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology (Two to Four Years)
Registration Requirements: Current credentials are required for all practitioners requiring a license, certification or registration to perform their responsibilities.
Licensure: Required - NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
Certification: Required - Current Certification of Nuclear Medicine Technologist by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT) or registry eligible. Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
