Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging is expanding our faculty to meet substantial institutional growth and invites applications for the position of a Neuroradiologist in Diagnostic Imaging. Our Radiology department is affiliated with the University of South Florida with radiology residents rotating through the department each month. Primary University appointments are available. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Faculty members from the section participate in Head and Neck & Neuro-Oncology multidisciplinary clinical conferences. Significant research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-PI. The Imaging Research program includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts. Moffitt’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging consists of clinical and research faculty members. State of the art Diagnostic & Therapeutic services include Diagnostic Conventional Radiology, CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Angiography/Interventional Radiology, Mammography, and other Breast Imaging.
Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a US News top 10 cancer hospital and Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida. The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-blood and marrow transplant program, 20 state of the art operating suites, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute (MRI) is comprised of approximately 160 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space.
Applicants must have a Florida medical license or eligible for one, an M.D. degree or equivalent, be board certified/ eligible in Radiology and Neuroradiology. Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary academic clinical practice setting.
