We are seeking applications to fill a full-time Nuclear Medicine faculty position at Wayne State University with clinical duties at Karmanos Cancer Center. Candidates for this position must have a degree in medicine (MD, MD/PhD) be eligible for licensure in Michigan, must be Board certified in both Radiology (ABR) and Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) with considerable expertise in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine, including general nuclear medicine, (PET/CT, SPECT/CT, gamma scintigraphy and radionuclide therapy) and an authorized user of radioisotopes. The candidate should also have a strong background in research and teaching. It is expected that the successful candidate will develop a collegial and collaborative environment that will promote programmatic growth, excellent patient care and interdisciplinary research. Experience in research is needed and peer-reviewed funding in nuclear medicine or theranostics is desirable. Laboratory space and a preclinical imaging center are available. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Also, depending on experience and academic accomplishments, the role of co-leader of the molecular imaging program at Karmanos Cancer Institute is potentially available.

We offer a complete complement of cancer imaging modalities that include digital x-ray, DEXA, Ultrasound, Digital and 3D Mammography, CT, MR, PET/CT and general nuclear studies. We offer Ultrasound and CT guided cryoablation of primary tumor and metastatic disease sites. Cyclotron, radiochemistry and small animal imaging laboratories are on site to support clinical and translational research in molecular imaging.
