The Pediatric Division of the Department of Radiology, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) is seeking a full-time Radiologist for a general pediatric radiologist position. Candidates with additional training, experience or strong interest in pediatric neuroradiology or cardiac imaging would be highly considered for the position.
The successful candidate will join the 14-member academic group of experienced and collegial faculty who provide coverage in all areas of pediatric radiology with subspecialty coverage in the areas of neuroradiology, cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiology.
Many educational and teaching opportunities are available within the section including fellowships in general Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Neuroradiology, Pediatric Body Imaging, and Pediatric Interventional Radiology. Fellows from UAMS adult Neuroradiology fellowship programs rotate through the section in addition to over 40 radiology residents at UAMS. Pediatric Radiology has an established history of educational excellence and leadership; the department received an Endowed Chair in Pediatric Radiology in 2011, which provides additional support for special projects.
In addition to the Pediatric Radiology Division, the UAMS Department of Radiology faculty offer expertise across key divisions including Breast, Interventional Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, and Radiology Sciences.We deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care in conjunction with appropriate consultants and specialists for the diagnosis of a broad spectrum of diseases. Our mission is to provide high quality patient care while training the next generation of diagnostic radiologists.
Faculty candidates must have completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology. Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology by the American Board of Radiology or CAQ eligibility is required. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
