Chief of Abdominal Imaging

The Position The Department of Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Chief of Abdominal Imaging with expertise in performing high quality abdominal imaging, teaching residents and fellows and being active in and leading clinical research. The Chief of Abdominal Imaging will be a collegial, visionary, and impactful radiologist leader who will define and execute a vision for a world class body imaging section. The Chief will work with executive leadership, department heads, and other division chiefs to develop new services, innovate, and collaborate.

Candidate Qualifications Candidates must hold an MD degree or equivalent, must have had formal fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging, and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New York. The ideal candidate should have had greater than 5 years of prior clinical experience as a practicing sub-specialty Abdominal Imaging radiologist covering all aspects of abdominal imaging including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, fluoroscopy and plain films. State-of-the-art equipment is available including multispectral/ DECT, 3T MRI with compressed sensing, 3D and contrast-enhanced US. A new, well-equipped 3D Imaging/Printing Lab is available as well as opportunities for developing and implementing artificial intelligence. This is an opportunity to lead the highest quality abdominal imaging in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with interests and a proven track record of clinical excellence, research and publications in the field of Abdominal Imaging. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Diagnostic radiology salaries are highly competitive, and the Chief will also receive an administrative stipend.
