Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Department of Radiology is recruiting a board-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join an expanding interventional radiology program in the Jefferson Health Northeast community hospitals. This community-based, academic-supported opportunity is based in three hospitals located in northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County.
The Department of Radiology is a dynamic and growing department with talented and enthusiastic faculty, highly skilled technical and nursing staff, and the department is eager to grow the practice into the community and provide patients with expert care close to home. The Jefferson Health Northeast campuses include; a 280-bed level II trauma center, a 115-bed community hospital in northeast Philadelphia, and a 112-bed community hospital in Bucks county.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic interventional radiologist interested in providing a broad scope of interventional radiology services and building a premier community-based IR program within the Jefferson Health enterprise. Currently the practice offers a variety of services including; Trauma Services, Arterial Embolization, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, DVT/PE Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy, IVC Filter Placement and Retrieval, Kyphoplasty, Spine Interventions, Pain Management, GU Interventions, GI Interventions, Abscess Drainages, Chest Tubes, Biopsies, Dialysis Access Interventions, and Venous Access Devices.
We are developing Interventional Oncology with Y-90 Radioembolization, Chemoembolization, Microwave Ablation, and Cryoablation. We will be supporting the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in the Northeast located at the Torresdale Campus. We have referring urologists actively interested in our development of Prostate Artery Embolization. There is ample opportunity to grow venous interventions such as venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion syndrome, and develop an outpatient vein clinic. Areas of development can be tailored to meet your interests.
The position includes a mix of diagnostic imaging interpretation to compliment your broad IR skillset. You have the ability to utilize your diagnostic radiology skills reading imaging studies (CR, US, CT, MRI) tailored to your expertise while at our smaller campuses.
IR only call responsibility is 1:5. A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package will be offered.
The position requires an MD degree or equivalent, completion of a one-year interventional radiology fellowship or IR/DR residency, and eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license.
