Job Description: The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a Clinical Site Director for Interventional Radiology for the Grady Health System. The incumbent will have responsibility for clinical service line development, quality of care, and operational optimization of the IR service at Grady. Due to its unique position as a busy ACS certified Level I trauma center, Joint Commission certified comprehensive stroke center, and tertiary care safety net hospital for the Atlanta region. Grady IR benefits from a busy trauma intervention practice, with mature interventional oncology and reproductive health intervention service lines and a longitudinal care clinic. The Interventional Radiology division seeks to grow existing services at Grady while advancing other collaborative service lines, including peripheral vascular intervention, venous intervention, and pain management.
The Grady IR service benefits from the support of two advanced practice providers and expects to begin caring for patients in a new, state-of-the-art facility currently in development, starting in February 2021. Dedicated IR clinic space is located adjacent to the IR procedural facility within the hospital, facilitating the longitudinal IR clinic practice. Future state includes additional angio/fluoro suite in an ambulatory facility adjacent to Grady Memorial Hospital, co-located with the cancer center and ambulatory clinic facilities, slated to open in 2022.
The Clinical Site Director will maintain a faculty appointment in the Emory University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, with the ability to tap in to its vibrant academic and expanding multihospital and outpatient system. This practice leader will have a key role in resident education. Grady IR is a core education site for the Emory Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology residencies, and learners across the education spectrum participate in the clinical service at Grady.
The Clinical Site Director will jointly report to the Division Director of Interventional Radiology at Emory and to the Chief of Radiology at Grady. The ideal candidate will have practice experience in an academic setting, a diverse clinical skill set, excellence in interpersonal and collaborative communication, and the ability to lead an interprofessional team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MD or equivalent, board certified in Interventional Radiology, a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in interventional radiology, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Prior leadership experience is desired. Salary and faculty academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
