The UCLA Department of Radiology is recruiting for an Associate or Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical or in-Residence Academic Series for the position of Section Chief in the Breast Imaging Section. Titles in these series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who are in full-time service of the University, who are excellent in teaching, at clinical service and who are engaged in research and other creative academic activities.
The successful candidate will join an outstanding team of breast imaging experts providing care to women in a network of UCLA Radiology's Breast and Women's Imaging Centers. The candidate must possess exemplary patient communication skills and excellent clinical skills in all facets of breast imaging including full field digital and digital breast tomosynthesis ((DBT) screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and all breast interventional skills including stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI-guided procedures. Qualified applicants must have an M.D, American Board of Radiology certification or equivalent certification; completed a breast imaging fellowship or a Women's Imaging fellowship; have had 4 years of clinical experience as an academic breast imaging or women’s imaging faculty; and must be eligible for a California Medical License. A publication record in clinical research, grant funding, and participation in clinical trials will be viewed favorably.
Experience in mentoring women and minorities in STEM fields is desired.
