Post-doctoral research opportunity at Harvard Medical School

The Division of Medical Physics and Biophysics within the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA is currently recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to participate in newly funded research projects involving applications of artificial intelligence in radiation oncology.
A Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. We are seeking motivated individuals with well-developed communication skills and the desire and talent to tackle technical problems and apply artificial intelligence for various applications in radiation oncology such as improvement in quality assurance procedures and predicting clinical outcomes. Previous experience in Medical Physics is not required and our CAMPEP-accredited medical physics certificate program is open to postdoctoral fellows. An appointment will be made as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School.
About BWH: The Division of Medical Physics and Biophysics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School is a dynamic group of 20 faculty members, 20 clinical physicists and dosimetrists and 25+ postdocs, residents and graduate students. We currently support 13 linear accelerators, 6 CT simulators, 1 3T MRI simulator, 1 ViewRay MRIdian MR Linac and a full brachytherapy (LDR and HDR) program. Ongoing research projects in the department include image-guided radiotherapy, radiomics, MR-guided RT, adaptive radiotherapy, molecular biophysics, therapeutic biomaterials, and pre-clinical radiation oncology.
