The Washington D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a full-time experienced Radiologist (Breast Imaging) to join a multi-disciplinary team engaging in face to face care. The ideal candidate is an independent care provider who is highly skilled and has experience in interpretation of breast radiology examinations (conventional mammography, tomosynthesis, ultrasound of the breast, and MRI of the breast). The physician should be able to perform stereotactic biopsy, needle localizations, ultrasound-guided biopsy. Ability to perform MRI guided biopsy is desirable. The candidate should be familiar with and have worked with mammography tracking software programs such as MRS 7. It is desirable but not an absolute requirement for the incumbent candidate to support other subspecialties such as cross-sectional CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and general radiology depending on the needs of the department. National teleradiology program provides after hours and weekend coverage, however a pager call is shared along with other staff. The potential candidate is expected to conduct internal and intradepartmental teaching and clinical conferences. We have affiliations with The George Washington University Medical Center, Georgetown University Medical School, Howard University and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Veteran services are provided in an inpatient/outpatient setting. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00-4:30.
