The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is adding a full-time faculty member in the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing division in an energetic department. A robust orthopedic practice (which includes professional and collegiate sports teams), sports medicine, and physical medicine/rehabilitation practices provide a stimulating and varied clinical environment. Innovative teaching resources and research support provide ample opportunity for academic growth. In addition, the University of Colorado School of Medicine is located on the new, state-of-the-art Anschutz Medical Campus in a destination city at the base of the Rocky Mountains with endless opportunity for cultural and outdoor exploration.
Clinical responsibilities include the interpretation of radiographs, CT, MRI and ultrasound performed on state-of-the-art equipment. Expertise performing standard musculoskeletal interventional procedures such as CT-guided biopsy, joint injection/aspiration and spine injections is also required. Advanced skills in image-guided intervention including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty and bone tumor ablation would complement existing faculty expertise; however is not required. The successful recruit will participate in all aspects of our clinical practice as well as education, research, and service. The division supports a fellowship with two fellows and participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences during the week. Clinical duties are mainly based at the main hospital campus with occasional off site duties at one of two outpatient sports medicine clinics or at an outpatient orthopedic surgery center.
