A post-doctoral position is immediately available in the Quantitative Body MRI research group at the The BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII) and the Department of Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City for a motivated MSc, PhD or MD/PhD. TMII has access to cutting edge imaging facilities including research dedicated Siemens 7T and 3T Skyra MR systems, Siemens Sequoia Ultrasound system and Bruker 7T and 9.4T preclinical MR systems. Limited research time is also available on clinical Siemens 1.5T Aera, 3T Skyra and 3T PET/MR systems. Computational resources and expertise are also available including high performance servers with dedicated GPUs.
Mount Sinai is located on Madison Avenue in Manhattan and is well served by public transport, with a subway stop a short walk away. The hospital is adjacent to Central Park. Incoming post-doctoral researchers are eligible for subsidized Mount Sinai housing.
The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze and post-process advanced MRI quantification methods (diffusion, perfusion and elastography), with an emphasis on radiomics and texture analysis in oncology. Background in MRI Physics and/or image processing at the Masters or PhD level is desired. Pulse sequence programming experience and interest and/or experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning or big data analytics are desirable.
