Cleveland Clinic has an unexpected opening for their 1 year dedicated Breast Imaging Fellowship with training to begin July 1, 2020.
The Section of Breast Imaging currently consists of 19 staff radiologists. Our section is a high volume practice that performs over 110,000 examinations per year, including over 90,000 screening examinations, 30,000 diagnostic studies, and 2,000 breast MRI’s. Additionally, we perform over 5,000 percutaneous biopsies annually using tomosynthesis and stereotactic guidance as well as ultrasound and MRI guidance. The Breast Imaging Fellowship is a one year non-accredited clinical fellowship position with one candidate per academic year. The breast imaging fellow is an integral part of the breast cancer program and will work closely with academic subspecialized faculty. Multidisciplinary research opportunities are available but not required. Fellows are active participants in resident education, both on a daily informal basis and through preparation of didactic conferences. Our section is also involved in multiple interdepartmental conferences which the fellow actively participates. There are no call responsibilities. Cleveland Clinic’s breast imaging program is a high volume practice incorporating all aspects of state-of-the-art breast imaging. Graduates will be proficient at performing all breast specific procedures and be well prepared to choose their career path in academic or private practice.
