The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences of Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a full time radiologist in Women’s Imaging beginning July 1, 2020. This position would be on the Clinical Practice Track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and would include coverage in both the Vanderbilt Breast Center and in the Center for Women’s Imaging. Coverage in the Breast Center would include all modalities as well as intervention. Coverage for the Center for Women’s Imaging would be limited to ultrasound.
The Vanderbilt Breast Center is a full service NCCN and NAPBC affiliate and is an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Imaging services include diagnostic and screening mammography, targeted and screening breast ultrasound, digital breast tomosynthesis, MRI and a full complement of image guided interventional procedures. The Breast Center operates as multidisciplinary clinic that includes surgical and medical oncology, plastic surgery, genetics and various ancillary/support services, all located in one comprehensive site. The Center for Women’s Imaging operates as a referral service for gynecologists and obstetricians from both the Medical Center and Nashville community.
Responsibilities include teaching (residents and breast imaging fellows) and participation in correlative conferences with the clinical services. Call responsibilities would be limited to general sonography call. Opportunities are available for research as well.
Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and be ABR certified or eligible. Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a Tennessee medical license. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
