The section of Neuroradiology at Northwestern University of McGaw Medical Center has an opening for a one-year non-ACGME accredited Advanced Neuroradiology fellowship position to begin on July 1, 2020. The program is offered to physicians who have completed a training program in radiology (not necessarily ACGME accredited) with emphasis in neuroradiology or with additional training in neuroradiology.
This fellowship training is based at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and the main campus of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Fellows also rotate at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
The mission of this one-year Advanced Neuroradiology fellowship program is to provide a pathway for interested applicants to pursue further training in advanced neuroimaging techniques, beyond that available in a standard fellowship. In addition to the basic disciplines of the specialty the fellow will be afforded the opportunity to more intensely focus on an area of special interest. This may include advanced functional neuroimaging procedures (including FMRI brain mapping, white matter brain mapping, advanced tumor imaging, stroke perfusion and vascular imaging), head and neck imaging, spine imaging, etc. It is our goal to provide motivated fellows an opportunity to thoroughly understand and gain expertise beyond the basic foundations of neuroradiology.
