The Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is inviting applicants for a full-time position in the Breast Imaging section in the Clinician-Educator track. Rank will commensurate with experience. A strong interest in clinical research and commitment to scholarly output in the field of breast imaging is essential.
This is an opportunity to practice high quality, patient-centered breast imaging with dedicated colleagues in a stimulating and supportive environment. Our radiologists work closely with surgical and medical oncology to provide cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care for breast cancer patients.
The department provides a fertile environment for scholarly success. It has a track record for first class radiology research and includes dedicated MR, PET and Image Process Analysis Research Centers. A Translational Image Analysis and Machine Learning facility has recently been created in order to advance clinical imaging AI research. In addition, a Vice Chair for Clinical Research has recently been appointed to provide resources, guidance and mentorship for faculty with academic ambition.
Applicants must be fellowship trained in breast imaging and must display proficiency in screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI, and multimodality image-guided breast interventions. Interested applicants should be board certified or eligible and must be eligible for licensure in the state of CT. The applicant will be given time to participate in research and other scholarly activities. A commitment to teaching residents and fellows is required. Leadership roles and other opportunities for academic development are also available depending on the applicant’s interests, goals, and experience.
