Octave is developing a first of its kind platform for measuring and managing neurodegenerative diseases to better outcomes. We are starting with multiple sclerosis. Using human-tech services we will create and improve current measurement tools, including an enhanced MRI service, to bring advanced treatment of MS to the clinic.
The Neuroradiologist – MS Specialist will believe in the power of this program and lead in its creation. They will go deep and broad to develop a data driven, mission focused protocol that will change lives for the better.
The role will be responsible for both curating and reading cutting edge MRI protocols, and also delivering actionable clinical impressions using innovative technologies. Description of the role:
Interpret radiological images of the brain and spine to provide exquisite patient care
Understand the lifecycle of an MRI image to identify customer pain points and areas of friction
Innovate and adapt the latest and greatest neuroimaging research into actionable, valuable clinical tools
Utilize cutting edge commercial and research technology to extract rich actionable data
Develop cutting edge imaging protocols and take into account evidence-based medicine/technology/legal/business/regulatory landscapes
Assist in the design of tools and solutions that support the goals and missions of our platform, providing feedback and medical insights
Collaborate with a team of successful entrepreneurs, scientists and clinicians dedicated to providing the highest quality care to customers, knowing that in healthcare the “customer” can be the patient, the physician, the payor or all three at once.

You are a passionate and self-driven individual who projects trust and credibility and is able to perform strategically as well as navigate a fast-paced and unexplored environment such as a start-up.
You are a Board-Certified Radiologist with demonstrable specialty training in Neuroradiology.
You have extensive experience with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurodegenerative disorders and are comfortable reading and discussing a variety of imaging protocols.
You are a lifelong learner with a passion and curiosity for neuroradiology
You have experiencing designing and conducting high quality biomedical research studies and are familiar with IRB protocols and peer-reviewed publication processes.
You are familiar with commercially available software and applications used in Brain and Spine MRI interpretations
You have experience with the practices and pitfalls of imaging sequences and algorithms
You have built and managed your own team, and you know how to elicit high performance from every team member.
You have the ability to clearly articulate decisions and the problems they are solving
Excellent writing and presentation skills
You have a basic understanding of the regulatory environment, FDA/sub-FDA routes, quality assurance, chronic management protocols etc.
Deep knowledge of multiple sclerosis disease management
MD, DO, or MD/PhD
8+ years of experience in Neuroradiology
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
Demonstrated track record of bringing order to chaos and leading without authority
