We have an unexpected opening for our July 1, 2019 Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. This is one of the premier fellowships of its kind in the country. The fellowship offers comprehensive training in MSK radiology and procedures. Fellows benefit from the strength of our experienced faculty, large and diverse volume of cases, and strong relationship with world-class referring physicians. Graduates of our fellowship continue their careers in both academic and private practices throughout the country.
The fellowship provides intensive, clinical training covering a broad spectrum of imaging modalities and procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of bone, joint, and soft tissue disorders. Fellows receive extensive hands-on experience in protocoling, monitoring, and interpreting CT, MR, MR arthrogram, radiographic, and ultrasound examinations.
Fellows also rotate through a busy MSK interventional procedure service, learning to perform diagnostic and therapeutic spine injections, vertebral augmentation, tumor ablation, arthrography, joint injection and aspiration, and bone and soft tissue biopsies.
Fellows participate in multiple teaching and clinical conferences, attend weekly didactic lectures led by the faculty, and have abundant opportunities to interact with and teach the MIR radiology residents.
Please note that to be considered for a fellowship position, candidates must be eligible for a Permanent Medical License in the State of Missouri. Please visit the website for the Missouri Board for the Healing Arts for more detailed information.
