The Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa invites applications for a 100%open rank non-tenure clinical or tenure track Body Imaging faculty positionwithin Department of Radiology. This is an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Body Imaging Radiologist to join a growing Body Imaging Division.
This position will join a growing Body Imaging Division. The service is extremely busy, with a large intervention practice. In addition to clinical activities, teaching and call duties are shared across the division. Research startup funds and protected time to pursue academic interests are available.
The Department of Radiology is committed to providing quality patient care, research, teaching, individual career development, collegiality among faculty members and works closely with departments across University of Iowa Medical School. There are approximately 37 staff physicians, 14 fellows, 15 Ph.D. researchers, and 36 residents within University of Iowa Radiology Department. The Department operates six (6) clinical 64 to 128 and dual source MDCT scanners, and there are six (6) clinical MR scanners, including a 3T. Construction is approved for a PET/MR.
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) is a state-of-the-art 800 bed tertiary care center that annually admits more than 36,000 patients for in-patient hospital care. UIHC is Iowa’s only comprehensive academic medical center and regional referral center. The UIHC Stead Family Children’s Hospital opened in 2017 and is Iowa’s only comprehensive children’s hospital.

Qualifications: Prior to the start of employment, qualified candidates must:
Have a medical doctorate or equivalent
Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Iowa
Be Board certified or eligible in Radiology
Have completed fellowship training in abdominal or body imaging
