Academic Interventional Neuroradiology UMass Memorial Medical Center & UMass Medical School Worcester, MA
The Department of Radiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), Worcester, MA is recruiting an interventional neuroradiologist for our Division of Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) to extend our INR services to our Baystate campus in Springfield, MA. Baystate Health is a 716- bed academic level I trauma/ medical center which is the regional campus of UMass Medical School.
The INR division provides world-class vascular and spine interventional programs and works closely with Neuroradiology, Neurology and Neurosurgery. The position entails a combination of clinical interventional neuroradiology, diagnostic neuroradiology and research.
The candidate will join the academic faculty at UMMS with full access to the department's University and NIH-funded world class Imaging Research facility. Current neuroscience research programs include image-guided therapy and molecular imaging for stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Our Interventional Neuroradiology research program is supported by PhD faculty with expertise in biomedical engineering, chemistry, physics, gene therapy, as a well as a DVM. Research equipment includes a new Philips Ingenia 3T CX MR with adjacent electronic and software support areas, combined with a 3D rotational flat panel angiography suite, a flow lab, a small animal PET and SPECT/CT.
The academic appointment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is commensurate with experience.
