The Department of Radiology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Medical Center seeks a full-time, fellowship trained, CAQ certified or eligible diagnostic neuroradiologist.
Clinical responsibilities include coverage of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic neuroradiology services including CT and MRI as well as routine image-guided procedures. In addition, a mid-hawk week rotation is part of the clinical requirement for this position. Although there is weekend call responsibility, the ER Division provides overnight neuroradiology coverage at all times.
The position includes teaching responsibilities for medical students, radiology residents, and neuroradiology fellows. There is ample opportunity for research at the Neurological Institute, and there is a dedicated neuroimaging research facility including a quantitative computational neuroscience laboratory supported by radiology. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in clinical or translational research. Interest in advanced MR imaging techniques, cancer, stroke, neurodegenerative disorders, MS, and pediatric neuroimaging are desirable.
