The Division of Neuroimaging & Neurointervention at Stanford University is searching for an interventionalist to join the full-time faculty. The position will be open rank in the Clinician Educator Line (CE). The major criteria for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD degree(s) or equivalent, be ABR-certified in Radiology, Neuroradiology CAQ – certified or eligible and fellowship trained in interventional neuroradiology. Clinical responsibilities will span the spectrum of neurointerventional procedures performed under fluoroscopic, CT, MR and ultrasound guidance and include coverage of diagnostic neuroradiology. The successful candidate will contribute his/her clinical expertise for the care of adult and pediatric patients at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and the newly opened Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, respectively. This faculty position also requires teaching of Stanford medical students, residents and fellows.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, clinicians, trainees, and hospital staff are required. The focus of the Interventional Neuroradiology Division is to perform clinical care at the highest level, to engage in important and novel research, and to train future leaders in academic interventional neuroradiology.
