The department of radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital is recruiting a Service Chief to join the division of Breast Imaging. This is a unique leadership opportunity in a cutting-edge division, focused on patient care and clinical implementation of novel approaches to early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
The division is fully equipped with state-of-the-art breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI and procedure rooms and performs more than 60,000 mammograms, 8,000 ultrasounds, 3,000 MRIs and 3,000 procedures annually. The division has an active multidisciplinary clinical research portfolio leveraging expertise and talent from MGH, Partners, Harvard, MIT and industry.
The successful candidate will join our team of 12 specialized breast imagers in a stimulating and supportive environment, working closely with team members and stellar multidisciplinary colleagues. Academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School may be commensurate with qualifications. Requirements include a board-certified radiologist with fellowship training in breast imaging. Leadership experience preferred.
