SECTION CHIEF, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY Department of Radiology University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Ohio is seeking a full-time Section Chief, Interventional Radiology Faculty Position in the Department of Radiology. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Ideal candidate will be an outstanding leader, clinician, educator and innovator with field of vascular and interventional radiology. Fellowship training and subspecialty certification in interventional radiology or equivalent is required.
Job Duties: Responsibilities include staffing at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH) and other UC Health facilities and interventional radiology (IR) service lines. Hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art IR suites and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. UCMC is a Level 1 Trauma center with an active organ transplant program. There is a dedicated IR Clinic with nursing support. UC Radiology offers ACGME-accredited IR Fellowship and Independent IR Residency programs, which are approved for 2 positions/year. Responsibilities will include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
The Section Chief, Interventional Radiology reports to the Department Chair of Radiology and leads our team of 6 interventional radiologists, 3 advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff. The Section Chief oversees all interventional radiology services provided at UCMC, WCH and other UC Health facilities.Expectations of the Section Chief include a strong academic interest and a commitment to research. Prior experience in leadership positions and faculty mentorship is highly desirable. Academic rank will be dependent on qualifications, but Associate Professor or Professor level is expected. This position will be 100% dedicated to Interventional Radiology.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be ABR/AOBR certified or eligible and eligible for an Ohio medical license. Rank and Track will be commensurate with experience and credentials of candidate.
