Job Summary The University of Colorado Department of Radiology is seeking a fellowship-trained, CAQ eligible/certified, Interventional Radiologist to join the Interventional Division at the Assistant, Associate, or Full- Professor level depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of scientific achievement and significant interest in supporting and expanding the Translational Research program. Currently, the Division includes nine Interventionalists and four midlevel providers who together perform over 10,000 procedures annually. The case load is very broad, consistent with a quaternary regional referral center, with an emphasis on transplant and oncologic interventions. Additionally, IR services will be expanding into the Highlands Ranch Hospital, a new UCHealth facility opening in March 2019.
This physician will participate in all clinical duties involving inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional procedures, as well as clinic and consult services. Call responsibilities are evenly divided amongst all physicians. A dedication to fellow, resident, and medical student education in both an outpatient and inpatient setting is a critical component of the position.
Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License, ABR Certification, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible or certified.
Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention for example. Participation in outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation services is also required.
In addition to clinical expertise, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of scientific achievement and significant interest in supporting and expanding the Translational Research program.
