The UPMC/University of Pittsburgh Department of Radiology, Division of Emergency & Teleradiology has expanded and is seeking both Body Radiologists and Neuroradiologists. The Division was founded in July 2008 with 6 radiologists (3 Body Radiologists and 3 Neuroradiologists) and has experienced substantial growth. Today, we have grown to a Division budgeted for 18 radiologists (9 Body Radiologists and 9 Neuroradiologists) covering 15 hospitals, 4 of which are Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers, and 6 certified stroke centers.
The Division is presently seeking motivated and qualified fellowship-trained radiologists. Candidates must be board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology, eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license, and willing to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA. Body Radiologists ideally should have completed an abdominal imaging/body imaging fellowship, however, MSK, Emergency Radiology and Thoracic Imaging fellowships will also be considered. Neuroradiologists must have completed a neuroradiology fellowship. CAQ’s in neuroradiology are preferred.
As a member of our faculty, your practice would be almost exclusively within your specialty with nominal MSK. Our Division provides an excellent blend of both academic and community style work. Faculty will work with residents. Publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts, performing research, and providing lectures are optional, but are encouraged and rewarded. Full staffing work frequency is 1 week on and 2 weeks off, and the Division is very flexible. Compensation is quite competitive, and can be further augmented by additional voluntary shifts, moonlighting opportunities, etc., should you so desire.
