The department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our practice. This position will include participation in our Breast Imaging clinical practice, including digital mammography/tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, molecular breast imaging (MBI), and image guided needle biopsies and seed localizations. In addition, the position includes resident and fellow education and multidisciplinary tumor board presentations. Our multidisciplinary practice includes frequent interaction with other members of the breast service line (breast clinic, surgery, oncology, pathology).
The Breast Imaging division consists of 7 breast imagers in a busy practice of 12,000 screening exams, 3,000 diagnostic exams and over 1000 MRIs per year. All of our mammography units have tomosynthesis capability. We offer screening MBI and have a growing referral practice for patients recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Numerous research and educational opportunities are available, and radiologists benefit from close working relationships with clinical colleagues, as well as strong physicist/scientist and administrative support. In addition to Breast Imaging, the candidate will work within another established area of expertise within Radiology.
