Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow – Gene Expression | Medical Imaging
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
A newly funded lab at the department of medical oncology of City of Hope, Los Angeles, is looking for a talented postdoctoral fellow for translational research focusing on the immune regulation of lung cancer. Ongoing studies are focusing on patient peripheral blood and tumor tissue samples that will be used for a variety of technologically advanced methods for immune system phenotyping. Specifically, we will assess changes in NK and T cell phenotypes by multi-color flow cytometry, multi-color spatial analysis of NK and T cell localization in tumor tissue, T cell receptor (TCR) sequencing analysis of T cell oligoclonality, and single cell RNA sequencing of peripheral blood and tumor cells.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or equivalent in biomedical sciences;
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Education and Skills:
Skills of tissue culture, molecular cloning, gene expression and knockout, protein purification/identification, flow cytometry and mouse tumor xenograft model experience;
MRI and/or PET-MRI imaging physics experience.
