The UPMC Department of Radiology is currently accepting applications for an Abdominal Imaging Radiologist at UPMC Mercy. Duties for this position will consist primarily of clinical and teaching responsibilities with options for research activities. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology and eligible an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania. Interested applicants should have completed a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging. Prior work experience and publication history is desired.
At UPMC Mercy, we offer a full-range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. A dedicated team of subspecialty trained radiologists staff the site and conduct and interpret approximately 160,000 procedures per year. The Department of Radiology at UPMC Mercy has strong relationships with the hospital’s referring physicians and residents. UPMC Mercy is an accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, level I trauma center and a comprehensive rehabilitation center. In supporting UPMC Mercy based Trauma Surgery and growing services in Thoracic Surgery, applicants who maintain an interest in elements of Thoracic Imaging would certainly be welcomed.
UPMC Mercy is also a residency training site for the UPMC diagnostic radiology program. Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric Radiology, and Interventional Radiology services are integrated with the UPMC Radiology subspecialty divisions. Radiology services offered at the hospital include nuclear medicine, ultrasound, bone density, fluoroscopy, x-ray, CT and MRI. Equipment highlights include three CT’s (two 64 slice units and 16 slice procedural scanner), 2 1.5T MR units, a multipurpose procedural room and a state-of-the-art angiography/interventional suite.
