The University of Michigan Cardiothoracic Imaging fellowship is a comprehensive multimodality training program that includes extensive experience in Cardiovascular/Thoracic CT, Cardiac MRI (adult and pediatric), Cross-Sectional procedures (biopsy, pleural drains), and Chest Radiography. Fellows enjoy one-on-one teaching with sub-specialized faculty throughout the year, with graduated responsibility enabling their smooth transition to independent practice. Our graduates have pursued successful careers in private practice and academia all over the country.
Fellows are encouraged to tailor their training to their own needs and interests with significant elective options particularly in cardiothoracic imaging. As we continually expand our services, fellows play an integral part in developing and maintaining the quality of care we provide. Additional educational resources include a weekly conference specifically for fellows, clinical elective time, optional participation in research, access to the entire residency lecture curriculum, and involvement in any of the six weekly multi-disciplinary conferences facilitated by Cardiothoracic radiologists. Our graduates are well-rounded subspecialists who can function efficiently across multiple modalities yet have a deep understanding of cardiothoracic disease processes with their treatment, allowing them to meaningfully contribute to patient care.
Attractive pay and benefits with options to supplement income through internal moonlighting.
