The division of Neuroradiology at the University of Michigan has an opening for a one-year ACGME accredited fellowship position in diagnostic Neuroradiology beginning July 1, 2018. We are currently accepting applications for this ACGME accredited one-year fellow position outside the match. We are accredited for a total of 6 positions per year.
The Neuroradiology division performs the whole gamut of diagnostic neuroradiological procedures. During their year of training, diagnostic Neuroradiology fellows rotate through University Hospital, the Ann Arbor VA Hospital and Mott Children’s Hospital, where we perform and interpret all pediatric diagnostic neuroimaging exams. The division has access to state-of-the-art equipment in all modalities.
There are 17 neuroradiologists in the division, 2 of whom are primarily at the VA Hospital, with strong clinical backgrounds, teaching abilities and research interests. The fellows will also work with 2 interventional neuroradiologists.
Close collaboration with the departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Otolaryngology and Radiation Oncology provides a stimulating collegial atmosphere with more than 20 multidisciplinary conferences per week, including teaching conferences, tumor boards and clinical working conferences. Research is a major emphasis of our division. All fellows are expected to become involved in a scholarly/research project during their fellowship under the direction of a faculty mentor and are given dedicated time for this. There is a very close research collaboration with the MR Research Division, headed by 2 Ph.D. researchers.
