The University of Southern California and the Department of Radiology is accepting applications for the Emergency and Trauma Radiology Fellowship Program at the LAC + USC Medical Center for the academic year starting 2017 and 2018.
LAC + USC Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and is one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country. Fellows will receive experience in all facets of trauma as well as non-trauma emergency imaging. The Emergency Radiology Reading room is situated in the Emergency Department next to the CT Scanner. This allows for real-time evaluation of polytrauma patients while on the scanner as well an opportunity to discuss the patient with the trauma surgeon.
Although the majority of the year will be spent in Emergency Radiology, elective time will be given to provide a flexible experience. Protected academic time allows fellows to explore research interests. Resident and medical student interactions afford fellows ample teaching opportunities.
