The University of Chicago Medicine, Department of Radiology, has a one-year Abdominal Imaging Fellowship position available beginning on July 1, 2018.
The one-year comprehensive abdominal imaging fellowship program provides advanced training in MRI, CT, and Ultrasound. The program includes training in imaged guided procedures. Fellows will receive MR experience in liver, pancreas, small bowel, pelvic and prostate imaging. Specialized CT training in virtual colonoscopy is available. The balanced workload allows time for daily teaching and pathology follow-up conferences. Elective time is offered and participation in ongoing research is encouraged and supported. The program strives to prepare individuals for an academic or private practice career.
The department uses state of the art iSite Philips PACS with integrated Dictation, pathology/lab lookup, automated biopsy follow-up, protocol tools and preliminary reporting. Imaging equipment includes 3T and 1.5T MRI Units; 256, 128, 64 MDCT and spectral CT scanners; Ultrasound units include 3D imaging, elastography and procedural guidance systems.

Qualified applicants should have passed USMLE 1, 2, & 3 and have completed all pre-requisite training in an ACGME-accredited internship or residency program before entering or transferring into an ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
