The Body MRI Fellowship program at NYU school of Medicine is accepting applications for 2017-18 academic year. The vacancy is due to expansion of the program with one additional fellowship spot approved for the year 2017-2018. This internationally reputed fellowship program is an intensive one year program designed to train 5 radiologists each year in the techniques and interpretation of abdominal imaging examinations, with a heavy concentration on MRI. The abdominal imaging section has several experienced research and clinical faculty who are leaders in their field. The clinical experience is unparalleled as we are one of the busiest MRI centers in the City with wide range of cases including hepatobiliary and transplant imaging, rectal and gynecologic MRI, 3T prostate imaging, MR enterography and dynamic pelvic floor MR. There are 14 on-site high field magnet systems, including eight 3T MR scanners, four 1.5T MR scanners, PET/MR scanners, and a whole-body 7T research scanner with a typical case load of 50 cases per day. Program comprises of several fellow-specific educational activities including a dedicated physics lecture series, a clinical didactic series, weekly body club, and weekly MRI interesting case conference in addition to numerous clinical and multidisciplinary conferences in the medical center. The section has published over 100 peer reviewed manuscripts in the current academic year, and the body MRI fellows are expected to actively participate in the research mission of the department and to perform their own research projects under the mentorship of research faculty.
