DetailsThe Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University School of Medicine is seeking a board/eligible/certified radiologist with expertise in thoracic or cardiothoracic imaging for a full-time faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The Thoracic Imaging section is currently composed of seven faculty members who practice and teach thoracic radiology to medical students, residents, and fellows. The cardiac section is composed of five radiologists and two cardiologist as faculty members. There is ample opportunity for scholarly activity and professional development.
Yale Radiology provides an excellent working environment. The Thoracic section has a close working relationship and continuous collaboration with world-renowned pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and subspecialists in other fields of medicine. The Cardiac Imaging section has also an exceptional relationship with the departments of cardiology and vascular surgery, and performs all the cardiac MRIs, cardiac CTAs, and Vascular CTAs and MRAs.
Interdisciplinary conferences encompass a broad spectrum of comprehensive lung programs, including interstitial lung disease, COPD, lung cancer, lung cancer screening, and general pulmonary pathology. The cardiac imagers also participate in multidisciplinary conferences including multimodality-based case discussions.
The department offers state-of-the-art imaging equipment in CT, MR and PET/CT modalities, in addition to cutting-edge research facilities in each of these imaging procedures.
